Somika Commodities Limited continuously reinforces its mining operations by bringing more and more of Zambia's mineral-rich areas under responsible extraction. We target a four-fold growth in production capacity, backed by continuous investment in modern mining equipment and processing technology.
Our hydrometallurgy-based facility employs the solvent extraction and electrowinning (SX-EW) method — the gold standard in copper cathode production — combined with advanced leaching circuits for cobalt and other metals. Our 24/7 laboratory ensures every batch of mineral output meets the specifications our global buyers depend on.
All operations are conducted by qualified mining engineers and metallurgists, and our sites are regularly inspected by independent auditors to maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification.
Mineral Mining
Open-pit and selective underground mining techniques targeting copper, cobalt, gold and speciality mineral deposits. Modern equipment fleet including drill rigs, excavators and haulage trucks.
Hydrometallurgy
State-of-the-art SX-EW plant producing 99.99% copper cathode annually. Cobalt hydroxide processing circuit producing 3,000 MT per year. All processing fully integrated with our mine sites.

Fully equipped 24×7 laboratory staffed by qualified metallurgists. Independent third-party testing by SGS and Bureau Veritas. Every shipment documented with full certificate of analysis.
